Favorite Books:
Women Who Run With the Wolves the author is Clarissa Pinkola Estes who is a Jungian analyst. She explains that women and wolves share a psychic bond in their fierceness, grace and devotion to family and community. She does it through the retelling of folklore and stories from many different cultures. The collection of stories encourage women to get in touch with their 'wild woman', and to take back their belief in what most of us loose as we age; our intuition. I loved the book, and have returned to it again and again through the years.

What I've Been Up To

Things to do before it's too late

marvel in this

about me...

Some things about me have remained the same through out my life;
I have a deep love of animals and all of nature, and nature responds in kind. Animals follow me, butterflies land on me, and I have been known to whistle a tune along with the birds.

I have always felt that I don't belong here in this world. When I was a child I used to think my parents had received me as a kind of swapping experiment, and that one day my real alien mother would come for me.

I don't understand the cruelty  humans display to one another, the greed, the injustice, which makes me seem rather naive.
I also, lack the art of artificiality with people, so I am your basic fish out of water, though I smell much better.

I have always known that I am spirit in a shell body.

I enjoy reading metaphysics, ancient civilizations/religions and poetry. On the lighter side I like to play/spend time with my dogs.
Also, like to build stuff from other stuff. In my mind, something can always be turned into something else; a turntable makes a good clock, an old door makes a great headboard, old tees have the makings of a memory quilt.
